@denim just because something or someone is not interested/involved in politics, doesn’t mean they won’t be affected by them.

If there are rumours going around that the ruler/s of the country you’re living in is considering imprisoning/exiling/killing/etc. a particular group of people, of which you’re a part of, do tell me if you’re not gonna feel endangered just because you’re not involved with politics lol

@Notsuki_Ame I think it is misleading to claim that any large organization does not have political motivations, not sure if that was a translation decision or in the original text, after all the queen correctly identifies that the church's power is challenged by her proposal.
