Gosh this chapter was so overdramatic as fuck. Seriously- if you need to do something you do something like you always did instead of screaming like a little brat. Every situation till now, no matter what, was just done using MCs brain but now for SOME reason he's like "nope". All he should do is divide the tasks and send everyone where they need to go and that's it. Each of them would be able to handle themselves on their own.
You missed the point.
1 - Sirius wanted Reus to think for himself and not blindly follow him.
2 - Reus actually wants to stay with his buddy Al and budding feelings for Marina, but chose to continue following Sirius due to a vow that Sirius didn't realize how serious Reus and his sister took.
3 - Fia catching on made up the attack on her homeland to force them into a pretend desperate situation and Sirius used that to force Reus to choose between his vow and his friend. Emila also caught on to this, and despite being the one to tell him to stay earlier, give him that final push to make him break his vow.

Now MY personal thoughts to this situation:
1 - Too damn convenient. The noble boy was approached by a woman that people thought was sus and his personality changed but no one thought anything of it. And she just disappeared without a trace. And when Reus was struggling with going or staying this crisis just appeared.
2 - Sirius JUST now realized how seriously Reus and Emila took that vow and the downside to it? Isn't he suppose to be brilliant?
3 - While it's necessary to get Reus to think for himself and follow his own heart, the way Sirius is going about it leaves a bad taste. He's basically lying to him to force him into breaking a really important vow when he didn't need to. He promised to follow Sirius, Sirius wants him to see the world and think for himself, in that way choosing to stay with the friend he bonded with and his sister are following Sirius's wishes thus upholding the vow. If he just told him this, Reus could leave them without the guilt of being an oath breaker. Think Sirius, think!
