The gist of the idea is that it’s a roundabout way of criticizing rampant advertising/propaganda and group mentality.
Women are more likely to have communal thought.
Men are more likely to have individualistic thought.
This stems from survival strategies from human evolution.
Advertising/propaganda tends to target this, women seek out others approval and support more often than men do.
The men/women potential is mainly just their respective ability to earn money.
I don’t plan on expanding on the whole “Goldman Sex” type thing because it’s meant to not make sense because the state the story takes place is meant to be a dystopia and completely farcical and over the top.
The whole joke is that no one questions it or acts the way you’d think they would because they’ve been conditioned to react in certain manners.
The general logic behind it is that in a restrictive society where suffering is widespread as a result of “forced communalism,” no one is going to do anything to help each other other than help themselves to other people’s misfortune. Everyone would rather look out for themself and would also go out their way to sabotage others if given the chance to.
I forgot to mention that people lose money for getting raped.
