Beth putting up with it all to ensure Rose's safety makes perfect sense.
What doesn't make sense is Mr.wright and Co allowing Rose to live. They've already laid the ground work to accuse Beth of insanity and delusions. They could have easily gotten rid of Rose, Told everyone she moved away, and then had Beth sedated until they could have a covert wedding.
