Bai Ji will lose this fight but she fought valiantly and actually almost won they might change it in the manhua we will have to see but just before death she was told to open the stats panel and after she does she suddenly get a level up increase and went over level 100 so after this Bai Ming say she has succeeded so she stab herself because if she dies this whole world get destroyed and Bai Ji can go back to Balande but Bai Ji refuse and instead tried to save her despite her not having a body in the real world. If Bai Ji helped her then she would perish too with them but all because of this the other 3 guardians came and use their powers to help Bai Ji and live Bai Min in her care. To help Bai Ming, Bai Ji instead did first embrace on her the same way Lilias did to Ji Bai to become Bai Ji and She official becomes Liliana Bai Ji Daughter also after this they will go back to what happened to Yana Lisha, Gordon, and Tina after Bai Ji is gone

Could be both technically with Bai Ji now adays having the same knight/chivalry skill as Ji Bai ever since their merging with Solyanda Memories after all Bai Ji is able to use the same exact sword that Ji Bai got against that guardian knight back in Chapter 100 something in his journey with Lin

Talking about that gulan dark knight, who actually was that? The story they showed before didn't mention 5 heroes or anything like that in that scene where the gulan dark knight shows Ji Bai the story of the world. I think it just said that a gulan knight stood up against the Sin Lord and "killed it," but that also caused them to get cursed by being stuck in those ruins protecting the sword. So was all that story retconned to, instead, have Bai Ming (as that dark knight, even tho the armor doesn't look like the armor Bai Ming has now) and the others dealing with the Sin Lord and sealing the path to Balande? Or were the 5 heroes thing after that gulan dark knight delt with the Sin Lord, and that's why it didn't show in the memories of that knight? Not sure if I'm making any sense here

Hmm you do make a good point on that I actually have to go revisit the dark armor knight chapter but Bai Ming was always foretold until now since she was mention to be an Ancestor of Ji Bai and the Knight serving the Gulan emperor as for the other 4 heroes not much is known of them but they might be helping as well I let you know after I spend some time investigating on that also I couldn't really say a retcon since source material does exist

So I just reread the chapter and it seem that nothing might have been retcon much beside they couldn’t have done this consider the same was done in the novel on the black knight but from what I remember on an old chapter the chapter where Ji Yue tried to destroy Bai Jin memories of Bai Ji & Ji Bai, she saw her previous life future in her form Bai Ming & The Gulan Emperor got married and they died together beside the throne so perhaps the Dark Knight that appear was after the Sin Lord and he made plans with the 5 heroes along with delivering the godslahing sword to Ji Bai which is now belong to Bai Ji which she use somemtimes along with Bai Jin(before Lilith stab her) this is what I had guess and theorize on so not 100% confirm also the Knight didn't kill it maybe he did but merely defeat it because he did say the Sin lord would return
If not then They just bought the retcon from Novel into the Manhua as well

Edit: Read the Novel part where the dark knight appear and it exactly the same as the Manhua but only with additional information so I guess He came after The 5 heroes in the same era since Bai Ming helped the Gulan emperor kill Solyanda in the Ji Yue previous life flashback, yet One of the 5 heroes is The Vampire Queen 2 generations before Solyanda
Edit2: Just recall this Bai Ming is only a memory and not the actual one a soul fragment like the 5 heroes as said before so they could both be Bai Ming this is 2nd theory the dark knight and the bai ming now

Thanks for researching this more in the novel. But from what you said, this still does feel pretty confusing time-line wise. And yeah, the Bai Ming in that castle thing, along with the other heroes, are a fragment of the memories they left behind to seal the passage.

Np and your welcome and I do agree with you their is a timeline confusion here the only thing I can ever do all these years is make theories and try to link the 2 together from future and past informations not to mention so many scenes I been waiting to get adapted for all these past years from Bai Ji & Ji Yue confrontation up to Lin & Chestnut backstory
