If I had to guess, this may be the author's way to distance Yachiru from the actual myth which is of a child murdering yokai, and in some interpretations of the myth she even rapes them.

The OG myth is dark as fuck.

Well I had a feeling she's wasn't a/the Hasshaku-sama, as she's shown no interest in abducting kids or laughing with the distinctive "POPOPO" sound. Anyway I could see her growing in the ferris wheel from a mile away but it was still a good scene. Thanks for the chapter.
