Death comes sweeping through the hallway, like a lady's dress
Death comes driving down the highway, in it's Sunday best
Her plan actually reminds me a bit of Arthur Fleck's from Joker when he plans to shoot himself live on television..."I hope my death makes more sense than my life" is a statement that kinda applies to all of them in this instance.
To be fair, one of the main points of the manga so far is dealing with existentialism, and that kind of irony and contrast in tones is typical of works within that philosophical field. The Stranger, for instance, has Mersault one moment about how his mother just died and how he went to her funeral, and in the next having a romantic date with his girlfriend. It's the use of irony that is meant to draw out the point of how conflicting and contradictory life is.
