The adventurers' guild is so useless in this series. They spare no effort to make life difficult for adventurers with strange rules (like dictating who can belong to which group and the whole rank up test stupidity). But then when they'd actually need to do some real work, like prevent unofficial factions from dictating who can hunt where, the adventurers' guild suddenly is only whistling and looking the other way, pretending to see nothing. It seems to me competent adventurers should quit the guild and do their work independently.
