If you look at the panel, Yakumo was still far from the first people lining up, so it's arguable whether the two who annoyed her were cutting in at all. All three of them at that point were only going to enter the queue, so if you run, you will obviously beat someone who doesn't. You can't really say you are already solidly in the line if there are several meters between you and the next person, unless it's the kind of line where everybody needs to be that far from each other. An ATM line isn't one of those. I never push myself between two people already in a queue, but if someone is only eyeing the line from far away, I most certainly don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong if I'm able to go in first, though of course there are always exceptions, like if it's an elder.

I admit it, I genuinely thought the childhood friend was going to be involved solely because I saw "the annoyance meter". I guess the author wouldn't be that on the nose, though.

If you look at the panel, you see the four ATMs, all of them occupied, and an apparently unified line starting from the front of the third ATM from the left. The queue has two people already in. Behind those two people was the empty space into which the two "annoying" people hurried, and then Yakumo, several meters away from the line. Sure, it might be rude to be too close to a person already using an ATM, but I don't know why it would be rude to stand close to the person in front of you in the line. If you aren't close enough, some will think you aren't in the line at all and will simply step in front of you, and they wouldn't be wrong to do so.

That's where a civilized and cultured person asks if you're standing in the line or not, instead of just cutting in without a word.

It's true you can do that and it will solve all the problems. But it's also a sign of being civilized and cultured to know how a line works. Kind of like in traffic everybody should know how the others will drive (according to the laws and rules), and thus traffic usually flows smoothly without any need for second-guessing and asking other drivers whether they want to drive first in an intersection or wait till you have driven through.

How much money does she have to feed this glutton of a hamster? I'm pretty sure that amount of ingredients isn't cheap even on sale day

@Pika

It's been stated in a few previous chapters that he gives her money for ingredients + I think his mom also gives her money?? So she definitely has him paying back for his uh, outrageous appetite lmao
