I think that'd cross the MC's authority on how much he should discipline someone else's brat. If he'd cut off the brat's ear, it would also offend the village's chief for essentially taking away his job as a parent. You may think that's irrelevant, and the MC can do whatever he wants because he's the MC, but it does seem to be the consideration the character took when he was in a foreign village, under their care.
If you think about it that way, the MC has already done enough as it is.

@Skorneful yes because that elf is such an important character in the story. Literally adds nothing to the MC, we already know that he is a yakuza boss who beats the shit out of people. What does this chapter add? Literally nothing apart from guiding tree explanation. You can't read, so just stop typing if you can't present a sound argument.
