That's sometimes the case. Or they can have tons of actually good story before anything significantly lewd happens. Most of the time they talk about eroges in manga and anime they're talking about VNs or VN-like games, which usually have little lewd content relative to story.

That's why you don't leave shortcuts on your desktop. Hide the eroge beneath countless folders like a normal person, Yamada!

If you have a shared computer, have nosy people nearby, or if you're occasionally streaming and your desktop might be visible, you put them in some folder. But hiding things deep is what insecure teens do. The ones that don't stand up for what they like.
