Feels like they're acting as some sort of makeshift 'therapist' or emotional support structure for both of them, mutually gaining some sort of benefit with this weird and bizarre relationship they have, more than just a teacher-student but presumably less than lovers. So far, we only ever know of the teacher's circumstances as narrated by the teacher himself so it's a bit too early to pass on any concrete premature judgement on their characters.
Though it seems like the beast is slowly getting tame, might be a flag for something more complicated, or progress in this constant surrealism. In any case, this kind of topic may not suit the tastes of a portion of the readers.
I really don't wanna overwork my mind and stress things out, but I guess when it comes to it, I should. Hopefully not tho.
