my heart!

The metaphors of how they describe the kofun, but it actually describes their selves. What a nice touch. There's themes about protection, preservation, and hiding/exposure.

I'm really liking Suzukawa. Yeah she's spicy and feisty, but she's acting that way for reasons. It's moe.

Sanwa might like Iida, but I'm starting to see SanwaXKanie and IidaXSuzukawa as the ships.

Man, I really love the treatment of the kofun! The interest they showcase feels so real, and I think it adds a lot to the idea of why they're people who get along. Kanie's really winning me over as a love interest, I gotta say, though I think in practice their differing opinions might become a point of contention, once brought out of the kofun metaphor and into real life. But I love that he wants to see things for what they are, down to the bone.
