I don't know if some japanese mangaka/author lack of reference or hadn't read this before but Marquis is lower than Duke itself. Something is feels wrong when that marquis's brat talk big about political situation. Duke has right about succession since the beginning they are viceroy also "they who made feudal".

If the hero is acting differently now, then there must have been some sort of event that changed his personality in the upcoming years in the normal storyline. Well that event is probably skipped now that he is at the academy rather than who knows where else he would have been instead.

it's because zenon hasn't debuted in high society yet, so his appearance and such aren't well known. He wasn't even supposed to debut until 2 and a half years later at the original enrollment date, and with this enrollment being kind of at the drop of a hat the dude might've not had enough time to figure out what he looks like.

Funny how the carriage represents the status of his family but if anyone sees him in the carriage, they’ll just be like, “Who the hell is that?” even if they recognize the carriage too. Funny how the protagonist noticed our protagonist grieving about his choice, but also not really. Just in the way that they were like “Huh? Did you say something??” when he was thinking. Also yeah, rooting out the discrimination would definitely be nice to see, although not much they themselves can do as students, I’d assume.
