Wait arc ended that way? He got away from our loanshark mc? Gotta be the first time, maybe he'll appear as some background news later on.

... I was under the impression he was going to sell his daughter. Everything seemed to point towards that, like he was just making excuses to himself, 'yeah, the world's full of this happening, it wouldn't be unique'. But if he committed suicide together with her, that's... better, I think. He's like the only one in the daughter's world that she can trust. It's painful either way, but I'd rather it go that way that what I was thinking.

I swear I saw the MC in later story as background character. Then again, chronology of the stories can overlap.

At the end Shinya's driving in circles trying to think of a way out of the predicament with Ushijima and his ex-wife's boyfriend. He keeps internally monologuing while driving around the Shuto Expressway over and over again while looking at Saya in the rearview mirror. Finally, unable to think of any way out of his predicament, he likens Saya to a lotus flower blooming in mud, before adding that some flowers die before they can bloom.

The final page shows us Shinya declaring his love for his daughter with the car stopped next to a low barrier on the elevated roadway. A panel showing us the rearview mirror shows it empty, with Saya no longer in the back of the car.

It's showing us that Shinya is actually secretly from Mars, and he's been driving in circles around Tokyo Tower using it as a radio transmitter for his psychic powers. The final page is showing us his now-abandoned taxi after his Martian friends picked him and his daughter up from Earth to return to their rustic family home at the foot of the slopes of Olympus Mons. The next plot arc involves Ushijima getting into a turf war with the recently-arrived Cydonia Cartel, who begin stealing his client base by loaning out Marsbucks at an interest rate 10% lower than his after successfully lobbying the Japanese Diet into passing financial reforms permitting foreign currencies to be used directly for playing pachinko and buying bootleg bottles of champagne at host clubs.

Is this really how this arc ends ? The story went super dark in a single chapter.

This definitely ends in family suicide. The poor daughter. In the end, she just couldn't get away from her shitty family.
