Yep, just keep highlighting MC's stupidity, I'm glad that Koharu is also calling it out, cause holy shit 🤦🏾‍♂️

Was quite intrigued by the premise of this manga, like maybe 1-2 chapters too, but it sure didn't take long for any of the intriguing more grounded moods to mostly evaporate

I was hoping for bit more of the serious introspection and developments, balanced with some nice comedy, but the vibes are now more like something like Mitsuishi-san with the semi-absurd scenes and social clowning. Rather rapid pace of new stereotype characters and situations too :aquadrink:

doesn't mean it can't be fun or do a good job at what it's aiming for, but I admit to being a bit disappointed personally with the direction thus far

Ignore the bad comments, if you like this story keep translating it.
Coming home from work and seeing that you've posted a new update has made my day, thanks for the TL

The overall story is fine but the research of the father being treated like some deus ex machina end of the world stakes is a bit tonally whiplashing. Like I get the author wants to try ro add stakes to the story but it feels very forced from this chapter.

Like if they wanted stakes they could have easily just stuck with the strict family route where maybe she’s nervous that her family will give up on her if she doesn’t make it this time. Or if that seems to cliche…

Give her the stakes of her other classmates moving farther and farther away in life while she’s stuck in high school still. And that distance getting to a point where she’s worried she’ll never be able to catch up to her peers. Its far more compelling and fits the story better than “Oh well she won’t be able to use her dad’s research to get a noble prize”

Even though:
A she’s a genius anyways. Won’t she just get one again eventually?
B It undermines her to have to use her dad’s research to get ahead instead of her own genius.

Ultimately this isn’t a story ruiner but it is such a random plotline that doesn’t fit the tone of the manga at all.
