As someone who's played Mahjong Soul for more than 400 hours and vowed never to play it ever again, I'm telling you: Don't play Mahjong. Ever. It's pure bullshit.

As a mahjong player, I'm a little confused. Mankasu said they had a good wait when they dealt the 3p to complete yani's kanchan. We can't see 2 tiles, but if they it was a 2,3p, giving them a 1,3,4,6,7,9p 6 sided wait (which is insane), they wouldn't have discarded 3p, since they would have won off it. They could have had 1,3p as the unknown tiles, putting them on a 1,2,5,8p wait. But though a 4 sided wait us strong, having an ankou of the 8p greatly diminished the quality of that wait. Plus, odds are their discards is screaming pinzu chinitsu/honitsu at that point.

And honestly, why would you discard a 3p with that hand? Yani has no yaku, so she must have called riichi. If you know your opponent is tenpai, you would discard your chun there, you have 3 chun. It also puts you towards chinitsu.

Then at the end, they said all their tiles looked dangerous, including the 1m which had been discarded twice. Except one of the 1m is in Yani's discard so she couldn't win off it, she's furiten. In fact, she had multiple genbutsu based on Yani's discards.

My conclusion is that Mankasu is terrible at mahong.
