There are only few cases where I could imagine a child telling his or her parents that they are a reincarnated person would have a positive outcome. Mostly it ought to lead to a situation like in this story. The most obvious problem is that the parents won't feel like its their child anymore. It's someone else, maybe even some unknown adult, who suddenly took the place of what should have been their own baby. A changeling.

In typical isekai the reincarnated person isn't a little kid themselves because that would be, in the end, kind of pointless. It's someone of high school age or older in the vast majority of cases. That's more or less the only way to really make it an isekai story where the personality and knowledge of the reincarnated person matters. A little kid reincarnated wouldn't really have yet much knowledge and experience from the previous life to exploit in the new one. An older person also should have enough wits to realise they mustn't speak about their situation.

I agree, and the manga also gives a plausible explanation as to why she even revealed it.
It's a little subtle in the translation but in the OG japanese version the mother says a specific Modern Japanese phrase, that only existed in modern japanese, that's what made her reveal it.

I'm not particularly blaming her. She was a sickly kid when she died. She was simply careless due to her circumstances. Perhaps if she had been given this more thought, she would have decided otherwise. So, this was almost an accident.

Btw on pg6, since they were talking about eras, those are the Japanese imperial eras, meaning it’s supposed to be Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa (the current era).

I wouldn't really say they're shitheads, their course of action is actually pretty nice all things considered. They didn't really do anything that cruel, the most that they did was arrange a marriage to a seemingly pretty nice guy.

Imagine giving birth and raising your child for years and then suddenly learning that they were actually a grown ass man all along that took your child's place. And on top of that, there is a precedent that isekai people bring about chaos in times of peace.
