If i could laugh, be enthralled in drama, or just enjoy cute pictures for 99% of the work, one-two chapters at the end doesn't negate that enjoyment from before. Not unless it completely re-contextuslizes the story (which it rarely does, despite feelings from those spurned). So the mystery genre is really the only genre to consistently need a good ending.

geez, I didn't even know Mangadex had my pre-pandemic comments. And on this manga? I musta lost track around 50 and there what? 200 chapters now?

But I think it goes doubly for for manga like Prison School. it has distinct "arcs" (if unofficial) and the unfinished last arc post calvarly doesn't really invalidate the underground nor above ground student council arcs. It's focused mostly on comedy than trying to deliever a coherent character arc.

Agreed, Food wars, Tokyo revengers,etc! A bad enough ending can completely nuke the likability of a story! Especially if that story wasn’t quick to begin with
