Kind of annoying the author keeps straight up having the lesser members of the harem acknowledge they have no shot and suggest they should just move on while being happy for the experience, only for someone to 'encourage' them not to give up.
These characters are not going to win, just let them slide out of the harem. Also, as a friend in a situation like this that is TERRIBLE advice. Moving on emotionally when you know you have almost no shot is exactly what you should do, rather than just set yourself up for emotional pain later basically because someone told you to.
