That was almost progress there. I think the problem is having only straight pairings when you've only goty1 guy, no beta relationship to give the readers some progress while keeping the main pairing/choice going until the end. Regardless, I will stick around to the end.

Anyway, I don't get why people are saying that this chapter didn't progress the plot. It's the first chapter in the long time where Saotome and Hanako started to talk to each other and the another chapter where Saotome is forced to make a choice. I agree that the cliffhanger (nearly literal one) could have been avoided, but it's still clear that the emotional scene didn't end just yet. And that after that, we will need at least a chapter or two for the whole cast to process what happened that night.

Im gonna be honest, im really close to dropping this. Ever since the 1st years were introduced and Hanako just dropped of in screen time, it just hasnt been particularly compelling. If the author pulls another dumb excuse to distance MC and Hanako again... I know im only ever going to get continuous dissapointment.

Uh this is a harem series. Thinking there's going to be any type of same-sex pairings is dumb in of itself. The focus is the mc and all the girls chasing him.
