what a beautiful chapter. the flash forward was so amazing, i want to read a whole new series of them and teenage lilia now. their dynamic is so cozy. i also hope to see if they're on good terms with the mother now after all these years but maybe not if they're still doing limited visitation all the way up until Lilia's late teens? i just want everyone to be happy

I have mixed feelings about the ending. Overall, I think there's more things I liked than disliked about it. I can't believe how little visitation they got when her mom was the one who left originally. Idk. Having Lilia go with her left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't mind that she was a flawed individual, but the chapter made her out as an incompetent (can't currently think of a better word) mom in a way. It felt like she wanted to separate Lilia from her dad as a way to punish him more than she truly wanted to be a mom. Idk. I did like the flashforward. It's nice to see that they're still happy together after all those years and are participating in Lilia's life despite the mom.

everyone sucks here except the mc, the kid, and maybe the inlaws, what the hell.

you don't abandon your kid and then get full custody, you don't raise your kid after your wife walks out and then settle for 2 fucking days a month of visitation, and you sure as fuck don't ask a goddamn 4 year old who she wants to live with. what the fuck is wrong with all of them.

Meh.

Kouki worked so hard for his daughter after his ex-wife ran away from literally everything (her parents and husband) after cheating with another man. Then, she had the gall to act like the victim and erase all her wrong doings using the fact that his ex-husband is in a same-sex relationship with another man. At the end we found out that Kouki only gets 2 (TWO) visitation rights a month to his daughter that he raised with love and care and before then had to pretty much has to find a new life (work and all) afterwards, while the ex-wife wins it all and everything back.

The time skip somehow made it even more distasteful. It has that being all wishy-washy at the last-minute trying to salvage the ending kind of feel. The father in law is nice though, very proper, unlike his wife who were enabling that shitbag all along.

Okay, it wasn't just me. I already had a bitter taste in my mouth from the loss of custody, but the two—TWO—days visitation a month was like trying to choke down a piece of cactus while gagging on aloe. Damn. The way the harshness was played off as the best thing hurt to read. The message of just accepting such an injustice is unpalatable. It was going so good. Damn. Damn.

It was a good story but the truth about some unacceptable feeling left inside but overall thanks to TLsan for complete this story.
