in order to level up you need to kill demons and absorb their mana(eg exp). since benet kills of most of the demons that come their way and the demi-humans mop up whatever is left... there are likely no significant concentrations of demons in the human continent to allow the humans to level up.

Why are humans so weak? Because they only have one life, you don't expect them to kill monsters on the same level over and over again risking their life for a level up?

The ancient times, basically where the world was a game, players didn't need to fear death because they will respawn thus the ancient times was known as strong people. But those times are gone and the real natives only have one life like a normal person.
