Feels like it’s gonna go 1 of three different routes
1. monster changes and actually cares for the children
2. monster doesn’t change and eventually eat the children( allowing the children to grow old and eating them on their deathbed still counts)
3.the children themselves change from exposure to monster/events and end up eating the monster
