How the fuck do people not realize that the general and the mysterious girl are the same person, or at least related, she basically does nothing to her face or hair color to hide herself.

Edit: I have been made aware by my vague memory and two other people that this is not at all the case, its just that the artist doesnt represent any changes, which caused me to forget about the persona changer skill she gained in chapter 12

Actually she does change her appearance. She learned a way to disguise herself from one of the ghosts in the pit. He said that no one would believe that she was a boy so he taught her his techniques.

@Kolderen the artist kept female Yeon Lok Heon and male Yeon Lok Heon looking relatively similar to help readers, but she learned face changing arts while in the demon cave so to everyone in-universe she looks completely different when she’s pretending to be male.

Also no one in the palace has ever seen Yeon Lok Heon in a feminine appearance since even when the Emperor and his escorts meet her the first time when her dad was about executed, she was dressed like a boy.

please, it's already chapter 60 and people are still asking how and why do people not recognize her :'(( it's off-putting at this point, because a lot of these comments contain upset or even violent feelings, saying this series is stupid, doesn't make sense or that they're dropping it. Have you read from start to the most recent update? Will it hurt to reread thru chapters? You can ask, but it's been replied to soooo many times, istg its in the comments section of every chapter where she disguises as a woman. I ignore them every time, but dammit it's already the 60th chapter and we still see people babbling off about how it's sO oBvIOuS that Yeon is a female, and not a male. Please. Again, you can ask, but please be respectful about it.

Also her hair color does actually change when she’s dressing as a girl (navy blue to like a teal). She also has a constant blush and pink lips and fluffier eyelashes as a girl. The signs are there but I admit they aren’t incredibly obvious that she’s using magic.
