Man, Kabura had to raise such a difficult child. Bless her. 😔

That's not even an offensive shift-- it's just a blatantly bad translation, if TLanon's properly citing the raw script.
I also don't normally buy official translations anymore. Scanlators provide a better service, and they do it for free. If VIZ and companies like them didn't try so hard to sanitize the stories they were handed, I'd actually buy their translations. IMO this is just another example of them being overly prudish. It's not mistaken, it's very intentionally dancing around the fact that Nazuna was paid to massage and sleep with people. Someone in management probably felt that sounded too much like prostitution and had it changed, authenticity be damned.

Fukkin hate VIZ.

I don’t really think it’s some censorship conspiracy or sense of prudishness, the official translators for this series are just really bad. It’s been that way since the very first simulpup’d chapter, with dialogue being completely changed and losing all nuance, even when it’s something completely tame.

Agree on hating Viz though lmfao

That beginning was so motherly from Kabura. It was really endearing. Although her head must be such a mess between her motherly feelings for Nazuna but still being in love with Haru, her striking image. Must be an uncomfortable cognitive dissonance each time she sees her

What are you doing Nazuna!? I feel depressed about seeing whats about to come. Tying up loose ends is someone about to die would do. This chapter's loose end is setting up Kabura, someone she knows who cares deeply for her despite not overtly acknowledging it, with another connection to Haru.

I think, like the other guy said, it's more like talking about a common ex
This, I cannot relate to.

You know, I was thinking of buying the physicals for the English localization (mainly for collection), but this really makes me wonder (all over again) what American localizers are doing. That's not even an offensive shift-- it's just a blatantly bad translation, if TLanon's properly citing the raw script.
Yeah, English localization (primarily from the US) has been shit for a while now. But you cannot voice it out wherever there is a voting system, because people will come out of the woodwork to downvote you to hell for even daring to insinuate that.

I think she's doing the opposite: trying to build a life that has space for Ko in it without her drinking his blood.

I could read three hundred more of these.
But I like Nazuna getting her shit together, but instead of in Giant crushing leaps like detective-san, and partially kou, instead she slowly figures out what to do with her life when what was before, "isn't", kinda like a teenager moving on from a university/finished job, and figuring out what next, one thing at a time.

I think that's pretty astute. She's been living in a stage of adolescence for quite some time. Now she's stepping up to the plate and shouldering much more adult-like responsibilities. Getting a consistent job, moving into an apartment, and putting real thought into how she can make her romantic relationship work. I agree, it's refreshing to see a character mature normally, without some horrible trauma forcing them to grow up more.
