The only thing it lacked was the feels. I couldn’t have cared less about either of them passing. I enjoy romantic tragedies but when they’re two people that you don’t care about, the sun rises and we move on. She appeared more as an enemy than a misunderstood lover and he appeared as more of a simp.Oh shit, this is like Romeo and Juliet, right? Even with pedo thing and meaningless romance, which ends up with them dying of stupidity. Whatever, the important thing is that the two became flour! If she was going to die like this, this bitch could have done it sooner and saved everyone from the drama~lol

Really?? Damn i missed the panel where he bit her back, if that's what even happened? Was pretty sure he died because of the sun exposureFrom my understanding, the confirmed theory is that by drinking a loved one's blood, a vampire will die (regardless of whenever they turn human or not since it's not clear), and I presume in the last pannel of the last chapter, Mahiru, right after turning into a vampire, bited Kiku back, so that would explain how they both died here.
(Of course this is all just speculation since we Mahiru's mouth is hidden behind the hug)
And since I'm at it, if drinking a loved's blood will kill the vampire, my theory on why is that, as a vampire weakness is an important object from their times as humans, a human weakness would be an important object from their times as a vampire, aka the blood they just drank; but this would conflict with my previous theory since Kiku would be turned back into a vampire after being bitten.
I still don't know how or why people think Kiku used charm on Mahiru... especially when we saw how charm actually works on someone. If Mahiru is actually charmed his conversation with Nazuna wouldn't happen. This is such a toxic fucked up chapter. Kiku is a suicidal ancient vampire, who uses charm on a teenager, wrecks his mental health and drives him to suicide. And everyone watching is like ohh yeah, that's love, that's his choice. Fuck no kou, you should have stepped in and saved mahiro after Kiku died. Thrown your jacket to cover him. Held him down with your half vampire powers. Done. With Kiku banished mahiro wouldn't have been able to commit suicide as a vampire.
If you recall, Susuki said back in chapter 121 that there's a theory that if a vampire sucks the blood of a human they love, the human will die. From my understanding, the confirmed theory is that by drinking a loved one's blood, a vampire will die (regardless of whenever they turn human or not since it's not clear), and I presume in the last pannel of the last chapter, Mahiru, right after turning into a vampire, bited Kiku back, so that would explain how they both died here.

Let's say she didn't charm mahiro, you think that seducing a teenager, goading him into leaving all his friends and family, all to help her commit suicide, isn't toxic behavior? Not to mention the trail of ruined lives and ruined lovers she left in her way. The detective's father, the teacher, everyone cleaned by face mask vampire, etc.I still don't know how or why people think Kiku used charm on Mahiru... especially when we saw how charm actually works on someone. If Mahiru is actually charmed his conversation with Nazuna wouldn't happen.
Also it wasn't Kiku that wrecked Mahiru's mental health it was his mother, ironically enough it was Kiku that initially saved him back then.
Like yeah Kiku is very selfish but she isn't this devious evil person that people seem to think her as.
As sad as this may sound, forcefully "saving" someone can and does lead to them ending up in a way way worse situation which will inevitably result to them offing themself... but with a lot more mess involved...
Glad this arc finally ended. I just want to see more kou and nazuna spiciness. Maybe throw in some susukippii in the mix might be nice too
