@Kampfarsch Mirrors only don't work when and because they are made of Silver. Polished steel or brass or water work just fine. It is the silver that is anathema to a vampire. Modern mirrors use aluminium a lot of the time, so they should work too.
This of course may vary from fictional universe to fictional universe.
