This plot line is getting better, glad they are going to investigate the affair. Seems like a realistic option.
Still not enjoying the fact MC is "dating" that retard, and why are MC and FMC so okay with it? Feels weird cause MC and FMC have a thing going and are already basically dating.

It was already stated that Mejiro and Uguisu are the same person, vampire hunter detective, we're peeking into her past which is tied with Nazuna.
Nazuna let Kou to "date" Lira so he can uncover Mejiro past and get a sour taste of being rejected within a week, because that's as far she "love" anyone and knows best Kou isn't that interested in her. Have to kinda feel bad for Lira tho' as she's being used here and her issue probably won't be resolved, maybe.
Yeah, Mejiro parents were killed by vampire or her mother as only her body was discovered but father went missing.
