All these people stretching their mental gymnastics to the limit defending a girl who was just selfish. She tossed the healthy food for junk food, panicked when found out, and then broke down when realizing all grandma wanted was for her to be happy. It reminds me of the Freshman 15 phenomena, where college students, now free of the diets their families "imposed" on them, binge out on junk food every day, causing their health to suffer.

I feel related to this manga, the discomfort with food, lying about having eaten, the nausea when being caught, the anxiety making me not want to return home, the blaming and the guilt when they changed to suit me. The issue isn't the food, no matter how bad the food is, it shouldn't have been thrown away like that—it was just my disgust towards the person cooking it that made me unable to eat their food. You must be wondering why I hate someone who is wholesome and devoted to me like that, right? That's exactly what I hate about them—their overprotectiveness, always reminding me of things I already knew, as shown on page 2, always doing everything for me while I can't ask them to stop because they use the excuse of "worrying about me." All of that gradually made me lose my self-control, independence, decision-making ability, and confidence.

If the food legitimately makes her puke she probably has some kind of sensory/eating disorder. An acquaintance of mine is going through it with their kid thats on the spectrum that has the same issue; will literally refuse to eat or body rejects the food so the kid is unfortunately lacking in nutrients to the point doctor visits are common and their teeth is decaying :/ I feel really bad for the acquaintance because theyre doing everything they can with therapy and experimenting new foods to get the kid to eat; theyre not a bad parent by any means and it's taking a hit on their own mental health as well. Like they tried to push their kid to try oatmeal and kid just immediately threw up everywhere. Shit just sucks.
