I love this author's one-shots. I hope that someone translates this someday.

@EmeliaK
Yo, I don't know how you didn't notice, but it's not "Youko".

It's literally right there.

@DrWhoCares Both are valid. It's more a romanisation preference. I'm not separating the name and the "san" with a space, either.

@EmeliaK Well yeah, you should never separate it with a space, but still, Yoko seems better, and is the name on the actual cover, even if they have the furigana different.

@DrWhoCares I think this is more a case of "it's not broken", honestly, so how you feel about this one is up to you. I prefer one way; you prefer another. I don't mind that you do.

For what it's worth, I'm the type that's used to Touhou over Toho and youkai over yokai, but I also don't really care about that as a stringent policy kind of thing, because I'm also used to Gensokyo and not Gensoukyou? It's whatever. The title here beforehand used Youko-san. Yoko is Youko is Tachibana-san. By preference and for consistency, I guess I'm sticking with Youko?

@EmeliaK you lost me on a few of those references. Regardless, I can see your point, but when an official romaji spelling is given, I'm the type that opts to keep it, since, if I'm going to be trying to faithfully adapt someone else's work in the first place, I may as well stay faithful through and through.

I think it's also a matter of pronunciation, where in this case "Youko" makes people automatically default to saying "Yuuko" or "Yo-ooh-ko" rather than "Yoko".
In cases like Touhou, I've never seen Toho before, so I have always been under the assumption it's pronounced "Toe-hoe" rather than "To-ho", a very subtle difference, but noticable in speech via inflection.

I'm liking the main girl - cute as hell and kinda chuunibyou syndrome but pretty fun
Hopefully it does end up with some romance but we gotta wait and see
