Almost certainly not. This chapter came out in mid-2020, when ai art was fresh to the public and even more garbage than it is now. Dall-e hadn't even come out yet. With the tight release schedule of manga, this is likely just the result of rushwork. Sometimes art winds up looking weird and anatomy inconsistent.

Well, keep in mind that their version of the story would have included them fighting valiantly but in the end unable to prevent the deaths of the people they were escorting. When those people turn up alive after all, it becomes obvious they were up to no good.
