This whole mana overload or whatever thing never made much sense to me. If you have too much mana, learn (ancient) magic and fire off explosions or Dragon Slaves every night.

And I know they don’t have gene therapy… I think, but at least try to eat a dragon’s liver. Or some fairy dust. Or even learn healing magic and become wizard Deadpool.

All that aside, I hope this comes out more frequently. It seems interesting.

Reading this it makes it sound like magic is almost non-existent or at its most basest forms for even the nobility. So they just never tried seeing if maybe the mana overload could be managed by him using magic repeatedly?

Seems like the father just dumped him in a bed and moved on to the brother immediately. Now he's probably the only one with enough mana to blast out these high power spells which will likely prolong his life.

Im so curious to find out the fathers motives, cuase the author seemed tp have wanted to imply that he actually did csre about his son, which just runs counter to everything weve seen

For once would have been worked better if MC just said "I'll resolve it with magic" as I found absurd the lord that raised taxes and bought supplies from merchants didn't do basic research on how to send away locusts.
Sure, MC red many books, but you telling me this grown ass man got the information and couldn't ask anyone how to possibly resolve it?

This is one of those "everyone is stupid so that the MC looks smart" types of manga apparently. The art is nice, but it's so light in plot and world-building so far that it feels half-assed.

It's hard to take it seriously when a 10 yo kid is smarter than fully grown adults who have been doing their work for ages. I was glad this isn't another isekai reincarnation whatever but author is following the same path as those stories. MC knows because he read a lot of books, but how the hell does the nobleman doesn't know when he was supposed to have studied his entire childhood exactly to be a good lord?

Well his mana is crippling him at the nerve. Shooting spells is probably only a temporary relief. He is currently pushing mana just to walk around and he's still going to die from too much magic. What he really needs is something to constantly drain his magic.

Even then, that would still have the mana flowing through him, which might be enough to damage him.
Yeah, trying to store all water from Niagara falls into a closed straw will have it burst… but trying to let it all flow through it will also destroy it… it’s just too much water for one straw, even if it’s technically less strain. Relatively speaking, it could be likened to infinity and half infinity… from the straw/boy‘s perspective, both are still infinitely too big.

That usually works in a isekai from modern workd to mevideval era, or if the MC crosses states with a different knowledge on stuff, but he barely moved from his family territory and this lord didn't possess the knowledge a child got as trivia.
Even with books being a thing for rich people with locusts coming anyone would check what to do to fight them AND start to store food in case is not possible, this noble seems to not even have attempted the former.
