Actually, when I first read this part in the light novel, I was shocked because I was just halfway through and one of the main characters already died. But no, the story still goes on, and I actually got destroyed by the second half (not what you expected, not because of any character death, but even worse).

We still have 5 chapters though, focus on Ayaka and Akito.
