I don't even remember this god, who is he? I only remember the stupid old man.
If my memory serves me right, Fitun's backstory is that he was a hero during the Demon King war, reborn as a heroic spirit (think a god's servant), then got authority over wind and storms from Alda, becoming a minor god.
Can you spoiler me what his reaction when he gonna get kill by van?? i still in vol 7, i kinda curious what his smug face reaction when he can't do anything
From what I recall, he gets frustrated as he mostly just wants a great fight, but no intention to die.
Down the road more prior classmates turned heroes in the other world (this is where the lack of side story chapters hurt the manga) turn up in this world, and Fitun grants his blessing to one of them, which he uses to cause chaos attacking a city Van lives in for some time with a monster army. During that battle Van fights the blessed hero 1 v 1, and Fitun possesses the guy through the blessing and then dies to Van in combat.

I checked back. Vida made the races like the undead, vampires, etc, out of demon stuff which they had been fighting real hard against. I have to imagine Alda just hates all of them monster races on principle cause he seems to be on humanity side. We probably need more details but considering he's not lol eviling things, he's probably just a hypocrite that genuinely believes that he's in the right
It's more to do with the fact that, Alda wants things to go back to the way it used to be in the past before the Demon King invaded. During that time, he had a lot of control on people, and only Humans, Elves & Dwarfs existed.

Alda hates the monster races because they originated because of the Demon King's influence.
Even-though many of them did defected Demon King's side and joined Lambda God's to fight against him (similar to how many Lambda God's joined Demon King's side in fear of his power and fought against their brethren).

And just to correct, Vida didn't create the Undead (their origin had never been explained properly), she created the ancestor of the Vampire & Ghoul race, who were born after Vida reanimated Zakkart's dead body (though it remained soulless) and children with them. Both the Vampire & Ghoul race are closely related to Undead though because Zakkart had basically become a type of Undead when Vida resurrected him without a soul.

Fitun 'God of Thunderclouds' and leader of Alda's 'Gods of War' as a strongest of them (Original god of war joined Vida and exiled). It's his first appearance.

He was mercenary who was born long after war with Demon King, but envious of the ones who lived at that time. He is battle junkie who would like only a fight, and all other (food, sleep and s*x) is just preparations for next fight. Because he continuously wins all fights and help to unify the world at that time he was treated like a hero, by mistake. When he was elevated into godhood original was excited of prospect to fight evil gods and Vida's remains, but became frustrated because it ended up similar to 'desk work' with no prospect of battle in sight. this is why he now such delighted.

Volume 10 Ch 240 - The death of a god of war but entire war start at chapter 232. And some preparations before on backgrounds other volumes.

Because Van's attack soul directly he looses control of his vessel, and instead of glorious death in duel he dies as pathetic coward that tried to flee battlefield. Need to add that host died out of hands of women and having PTSD, that was used against him as well (reawakened).

I'd like to reread the chapter about Vida. I kind of forget why Alda antagonize Vida as a fellow deity. IIRC, she created undead and vampire to keep her favorite hero to stay alive.

Combination of few things:
  • Rodcorte stealing souls of 4 "Creation Champions".
  • Bellwood and brainwashed Alda demand destruction of Zakkart's workshop and relics.
  • Bellwood sends waves of brainwashed people on front lines without any tactics until Demon King defeated resulting in entire population only 1000.
  • State of environment in which 'humans' can't live any longer.
Unable to trust both Rodcorte and Alda she separated from them and created countermeasures:
  1. New separated circle of reincarnation
  2. New races that can live in a new (polluted by miasma) environment
Bellwood disgusted by new races (and hating Zakart, because he was adult) and Alda brainwashed into hating everything 'new' after Demon King invasion backed by Rodcorte against competition attacked Vida's people and civilization unannounced.

The world was severely underpopulated after the war with the Demon King, and Codorte kinda just thoughtlessly combined 3 broken souls of the heroes and randomly threw it back into the reincarnation system. So she, as the goddess of life, repopulated the world with new races with the help of the defected evil gods and his hero lifeless body, and creating a new reincarnation system separated from Codorte's, based of the Demon King's. But obviously Ada didn't like this, so he declared a war against her and her new races which he won, and now Vida is still recuperating even after a hundred thousands of year.
Correction: souls o 4 heroes (Zakkart, Solder, Arc, Hillwillow).
... but why was the Baron accused of affiliated with vampires ? He didn't do anything, did he ??
The baron was serving as vampire informant, that why he new that the something wrong with mage guild, who serves the vampires as well. Mages do have all the evidence for this.

I always find it a bit weird where in an isekai where the MC will start going after gods or become an almost godlike themselves.
It the things at stake just get bigger and bigger, until they can't get any bigger and the manga ends up jumping the shark.
However I feel like this time it has been earned.

Thanks for the translation Mangasushi

Whoever is writing/drawing a story, take notes! Im amazed how well the lore is dumped here. These 2 maids didnt exist in the WL (dunno about LN) and it was just a dry introduction by the narrator. But now its presented in a natural way by them having a conversation, while one of them seems to be a goofball, so its not odd for her senior to explain it.

It also gives life to the Hartner dudes. Really great improvment from the original and it makes it worth reading despite having already read the WN. If not for the 2 nobles, you feel bad for the maid staff to get involved in future shenanigans.

The maid was great. Pretty sure she is manga original, but that was a good way to give the backstory of the succession fight.
It may be a gag, but it kind of kills realism. Not only would such a maid not be allowed, pushing a heir to near death would get her executed.

It just felt too unatural.

I see what you mean, but also don't. Because this manga isn't really that much about realism. And when I say that, I don't mean about the fantasy setting, there are plenty of stories that do well in taking that and making you believe that you're peeking into a different universe, with lives at stake. It's just like previous times, a silly gag. The ghost carriage going in a rampage with Van inside would also get it reprimanded - at least - but obviously it doesn't. The vampires also retain immature features, even though their minds shouldn't refrain from aging like their immortal bodies.
