What is stopping him from just slapping his moms soul into some golem?
Like what is the problem? He can just make her a new body at any moment and transfer her.
Hes a walking battlefield spawn beacon but for some reason his mom just has to float around as a shitty dementia ghost.

He wants a full revival, body restored and all. Also his mom's ghosts has no real attachment and could pass on if not for his magic keeping her tethered. It is unlike the other ghosts, who still have earthly regrets and were easily turned into ghostly monsters. So his magic can only keep her from passing on but nothing else.

It was explained right after he found her dead.
