As I stated in my comment last chapter, the minimum requirement on the amount of people in the party doesn't make sense if they can just fill it with rookies. At this point, they could pay two homeless people a silver coin to become their “party members”.

While your point is correct, your analogue isn't necessarily. If you are an employee, you do what the employer tells you to do, within reason. It's not that rare to need to look after a rookie, in addition to your regular work. You probably won't get paid anything extra, unless it involves overtime work. If you are paid extra despite no overtime, well, good for you and a nice employer.

Still, your point is correct because Harris is a freelancer. He has got no employer.

As we saw in an earlier chapter freelancer and Solo work has limits. Imagine if Harris didn't use the Fake Gold trick? He would be knocked out and lost the Money. With all the Consequences.
I also think they are just trying to push Harris into a party as a Leader because they feel he would be good at it. He do seems to be able to think farther ahead and consider consequences "and" he is a Vet so the rookies probably would be in good hands.

No worries, it's really actually more like tens of thousands of Gs that you can't see. One cockroach carries 30-40 eggs per batch, and births about 200-300 offspring in its lifespan. So, from one single fertilized G, you get 250, and from that the ratio is roughly 1:3 females:males, so ~83 females that then produce 30-40 eggs per batch, or about 20,750 offspring from that first batch of offspring, on average.
