tho for real this way of them solving her getting mad actually kind of pissed me off since nothing actually got resolved, Utsumi said something to Yano that Yano didn't like and Yano ended up not wanting to reveal what it was, got mad and ignored Utsumi instead for a while and then when they finally made up Utsumi still has zero idea as to why Yano was mad and Yano revealed zero info as to why she was mad so in a sense this whole thing was just a set up for Utsumi to tell Yano that she likes Yano because she finds her interesting......yea talk about waste of time OTL this ch just made me like Yano ALOT less and her immaturity is really dam bad even when she looks to be really mature.....

Not gonna lie. That confession from her is quiet a good scene.especially the part when she imagined the wave came through her. Lol her face while saying "what the" is so epic af. XD. I like it whenever different types of marine animals starting ti swim all over the panels. That whale skeletons💓.

The visuals of this manga continue to wow me. The skeletal fish and tsunami were both amazing ways to articulate Yano/Aya's emotions. The story was a bit weak here though I think. I think its reasonable that Aya's "doll" line would upset Yano, given how lonely and unappreciated she feels. I also like that Aya confronted Yano. But Yano refusing to talk about why she was mad, even after getting called out multiple times, was confusing. Why not explain her feelings once Aya's emotional tsunami convinced her Aya cared? When a friend unintentionally hurts you, it is very important to explain to them why you were hurt. That way they can avoid doing it in the future. Oh well, hopefully Yano can learn to communicate in volume 2.

I really love this story! The two main characters are really weird and quirky outsiders, one who's used to being seen as unapproachable and is near terrified of actually getting close to someone and the other who's a social bull in a china shop who don't really get people. Seeing them actually care about each other like this is really heartwarming, seeing how outside of their element the two of them actually are.

It's just a comfortable read.

Yano was mad because she only felt ease in her own "glass tower", because she was too accustomed to the loneliness where no people really cared about her feelings and no one who was close enough for her to truly care about at all. When Utsumi reached to her, she felt unease due to the unfamiliar feeling and situation, leading to the urge of pushing Utsumi away so that she could feel safe again.
It's because Utsumi couldn't figure it out and her persistance, she eventually dragged Yano out of the pitch black abyss. The fish in the background has shown everything clearly enough, when she pushed Utsumi away, there were only fish skeletons in the background left, but when she saw Usumi in the department store, the lively seagrass appeared. Then the angler fish and fish skeletons showed again when she tried to retreat, until Utsumi said out loud her true feeling, the sea in her mind returned to life.
