@sleepyknight I think her father taught her since she has to know it before starting elemmentary. In Asian countries, they teach addition and subtraction in kindergarten so every kids know about them when they are 5 years old. 6 years old kids learn addition and subtraction with two digits numbers. 7 years old kids learn multiplication and division. I still remember trying to memorize the multiplication table in case the teacher call me.

It's not just the art style. Yotsuba's changed a lot personality-wise.
I can't picture this Yotsuba climbing a telephone pole and pretending to be a cicada.
I'm going to chalk it up to "growing up", because I'm kind of cool with it.
