I think we're supposed to assume she made one by herself for Duralumin between chapters.
Also, I guess Duralumin's a girl. The manufacturers did make it kind of ambiguous.

Is it just me, or has Yotsuba's head always been this big? For example, on panel 1 on page 3, her head is substantially larger than her dad's head.
