From the last chapter to this one, the whole explanation of Shizuki's misunderstood comment does not quite add up for me. It would make more sense if they sum it up as "It was drawn so incredibly life-like that it left you in awe", to me personally.

I'm gonna put part of the blame on my TL, since I didn't have the future knowledge that things were going to end up like this, in which I would have fudged it a bit instead of doing it literally for that part
