Why do you not trust her classmate he respect her privacy even let her know and the "mother" responded with I don't know them. I believe he'll end up being someone the girls can lean on him. Also he may help with his perspective.

Then the father would have marry his first wife, then her sister, which is not what i expect from a story like that.

I'm pretty sure the sad background story the fake mother give was the story of the real mother, not her. The real mother had 4 illegitimate child and abandonned them, while the husband had to marry to the fake mother for family/corporate reason. Teh fake mother want to take the place of the real mother because of family inheritance, control over the compagny or any reason like that.
