Well, yes, this was already revealed a while back. It's good that she's finally going to face it, sadness and guilt and all. <3 You'll be fine, child, you have a new family who love you just as much. <3
Well. Yeah.
...
It's not bad or anything, but this whole "look at the friends I made and now I'm stronger" stick is such an often used theme by now; I find it a bit disappointing. I guess I wanted a real antagonist or something.
I think the older Yotsugi can convince the younger Yotsugi that 'this time it'll be fine' by just showing her memories of Kotowari.
Because if the two start thinking 'what will Kotowari do if I'm in a fire and call for her help'....I don't think she can think of Kotowari 'failing'
Until this chapter we've known that Yotsuki is powerful because she could destroy and create with words alone, but for some reason that felt like "normal" magic. It honestly never occurred to me that she could simply order people to die. It suddenly explains Kotowari and Mauricelene's focus on training mental resistance. Mauricelene always knew that the physical manifestation of the magic was the less dangerous one.
Wait a damn second, were the parents actually trying to burn her, I mean, they were already outside and the dad was holding a torch, maybe I am overthinking it but thats how it looks like to me.
Well that was worse than I was expecting:
Not only did her parents try to burn her for being a witch, but she ended up KILLING THEM by using her powers to have them save her.
