The novel translation. At that time to read a raw using MTL is very headaches. So, I don't touch the raw and waiting... and waiting... and waiting. Until I know that nobody will translate this and be forgotten by many others.

But in all seriousness, this author is leaning way too heavily on exposition. Show, don't tell, dummy. The chronology is also skewed. Only skilled authors can make non-chronological story telling work, a la Chronicle of a Death Foretold.

well based on the quality of the work and all that, the mangaka probably doesn't have the leeway to be able to work on more panels or have it be a long extended work. Especially since this is an adaption and it's not highly acclaimed one either. Otherwise, they would probably work on the exposition more but alas, limits man.

I'm more so referring to the original author. I understand the mangaka is just making an adaption. But, as I'm led to believe, the novel is like this as well where it's out of chronological order and full of exposition.

Even the web novel when I read it is like this, there's an epilogue that focus in each main characters

The pacing is basically
Shuri POV chapter then the accompanying corps commander POV chapter

We just saw ganglabe and Lil's (ruri), the difference is just that there's an additional 3 commander here in the manga compared to web novel that I read

in the novel when they finish a chapter for all commanders that's when the prologue ends, yeah on the novel it clearly says prologue, 22 chapters of prologue

Novel been long going, and still going, the LN got its 19th volume a few days ago and is pretty far ahead of what the WN have, but yes translation stopped

Manga pretty much going 1:1 with LN chapters so far, since it finished Vol.1 chapter 4 here, and raws started chapter 5, so it gonna be a long adaptation, hopefully
