so far there's 4 candidates, Riru the magic engineer who fell in love with his hamburger steak, a Loli princess from a country that fell in love with his mapo tofu, the said princess's assassin maid that fell in love with his fried rice and a cross dressing princess (due to reasons) that fell in love with his fried chicken

I'm not really sure with the light novel where the manga is based on considering there's additional characters added like for one I don't know Shuri's dynamic with the busty one-san and the naginata wielding one-san in the mercenary group

If he's been pursuing cooking professionally, to a point where he's worked in multiple professional kitchens, he'd have had many, many opportunities and really probably shouldn't be acting like he's never had the opportunity himself.

Def this he should end up with Riru. They complement each other in terms of skill. They can uplift each other's work. He wouldn't be chained down by things like noble politics and allowed to cook freely. This is the most optimal ship.

Just saw a picture on how they look and imo they all kinda suck with Riru kinda feeling like the most logical choice but yea rip especially since there looks to be alot more good looking folks who actually look like a female lead then the others

i guess jealousy is a common trope too esp if his competition is some 'handsome leader' (and he did point out that he appreciated flat chests lol)
tho it'd be weird if mc started flirting with everyone considering they're still at a war even if he's in charge of cooking and not doing any other soldier/frontlines work otherwise but i imagine he'll 'charm' some women in the future with desserts depending on how fanservicey this gets
