The pacing has been so weird since the timeskip

The story itself is completely all over the place.
It begins with letting us believe her issues with martial arts are completely due to her Nanny manipulating her / poisonning her.
Then apparently she gets hurts at her 5th yr old birthday party and everything suggests the person that tried to help her learn energy circulation hurt her on purpose.
Then it's completely forgotten and she had a condition from the beginning which apparently has a cure (she got it in her former life) and would have gotten better with time.
Yet somehow she never tried to cure her condition in this new life and keeps thinking of the whole thing as her biggest trauma.
Feels like the author changed after the Nanny arc. And the new one couldn't be bothered to use the previous storyline and just smoothed it over in favor of a generic "I'm gonna stay a maiden in distress that complains after a curable condition my whole life."
