Your wrong new character, sure she wouldn't be happy she almost killed her lover but at least her lovers actually alive, kind of, now she can avoid her grief rather than dealing with it
Her lover staying alive in secret while she suffers seems worse to me than her being revealed as her lover she happened to almost kill, but what do I know
