This author really struggles on making fanservice feel natural or well integrated into the overall narrative. It's so forced to the point of being cringe. Basically fanservice for the sake of fanservice.
Coz the non-fanservice parts of the manga are decently well written, tackling about insecurity and internal issues. But when you get to the fanservice, and it's like, WHY??? Like those strings of ecchi events make no sense whatsoever or are just plain bizarre. And the worst part is that they're completely disjointed from the narrative that they might as well not exist.
Like I feel this manga could do away with fanservice in general and have the author put more of his time and energy on fleshing the characters out, because the fanservice just doesn't belong in it at all. Hell, they fell more like a deterrent than something to look forward to. Especially considering the characters that sort of are responsible for the ecchi are just straight up unlikeable / badly written.
