Shouma lost because bad deck construction. Not enough hand trap.
Aside from Droll, hand traps are dogwater against Enneacraft. Fuwa, Nib, Ghost Belle, Imperm, Impulse, and Veiler all straight up do nothing against this deck, and Ash almost never matters (and is just a straight up liability if they open orgIA). Literally the only ones that do anything are Ghost Ogre which is niche, Purulia which most decks can play under, and Maxx C, which beats every deck. And Clown Crew also can't play Droll because they absolutely need to add cards to their hand during the opponent's turn.
Additionally, Clown Crew tends to not play hand traps really. It's a breaker deck (albeit, he is on nowhere near enough of those either), leveraging cards like Forbidden Crown, Droplet, Fallen and Virtuous, and Super Poly to deal with boards due to Matinee's ability to draw and set in End Phase. The most successful variant of this deck, Clown Crew Mitsu, only plays 1 hand trap, in D-Shifter, which actually does nothing against Enneacraft.
