I like how they address the fact that he did an illegal move and they’re just like, its fine, we’re in a casual setting. It’s not much but those type of casual screw ups do happen and its nice to see them talk about it even casually.

OUCH! Talk about "misfortune in fortune", even if the saying is normally reversed. And that's why I don't like playing any of the Pot cards myself.
Also, Shoma? Seriously, BEHIND YOU!!

So their duel disk doesn't have ability to check on the fly? I thought duel disk starting from Arc V knows if the effect cannot resolve, they won't activate in the first place.

Well the manga is based off the real life OCG, so the universe is probably closer to real world than any of the anime universes, with magic and aliens and alternate dimensions and stuff. The world probably doesn't revolve around a children's card game like in the anime.

The whole duel disks and holograms are meant to add some flair to the manga, but they are essentially sitting across from a table from each other and playing some irl yugioh.

At first I was thinking "ain't no way he drew that well off desires" and then we saw what he banished and then thought "that's the Pot of Desires I know!" Too many times I used it in Exosister and came out with 0 Elis left in deck

It's literally a -9 for any deck that doesn't run everything at 3-ofs, and if your R-ACE list runs the backrow at 3-ofs, you'll brick most games. There's a reason why almost no decks still play it. Not even Striker does anymore since Roze is a mandatory brick. This was published around the era when Desires was losing meta relevance so I feel like this chapter was a PSA to avoid the -9.

Pot into Ash is like one of the worse feel ever lol. Especially if that's your only out.

Right next to getting hit with Ash when you TTT(Talent or Thrust) their max "C"/Fuwas

Talents draw is the desperation move when you really need the cards because your deck just needs 2 extenders to make it through a Fuwalos. Talents rip is better 90% of the time: either do it right before you make a play that you need to avoid getting hand trapped, or do it immediately in the hopes that they just have one starter and if you rip it and end on your normal summon and whatever non-engine you have, they won't be able to make any plays. Depends on the matchup and if you're going 1st or 2nd, but I really feel like it's the better play most of the time.
Just my unsolicited opinion, feel free to disagree and disregard; I'm sharing it only in the hopes that it helps you make better use of your Talents punishes. Anything to punish those roaches and charmies. I hate those cards so much they make me see red sometimes.
